November's dance will be held on Sat., Nov. 21. Doors open at 5:15 pm; John and Rosa will be volunteering to provide those great dance lessons commencing at 5:30, so be sure to join in for the fun. Dressy attire is the dress code for the evening, and from 6 to 9:30 we'll enjoy the great music of Skyline Express. The menu sounds great, starting out with a mixed green salad with tomatoes and cucumbers, rolls and butter. Entree choices are as follows: 1) Maple Glazed 6 oz ham steak for $21; 2) Cranberry Dressing Chicken Rouladen for $20. Both above entrees will be served with mashed sweet potatoes with brown sugar garnished with candied pecans and a squash medley topped with cheddar cheese; 3) The vegetarian selection will be spinach and mushroom stuffed manicotti with veggies for $19. A delicious pumpkin loaf with burnt butter icing will be our special holiday dessert. If you sign up and are unable to attend, you may call Carla at 797-3506 before 3 pm on the day of the dance, and she will arrange for you to pick up your meal to enjoy at home. Come join us for a great evening! Dinner Dance Club Oh no, we've got to start getting ready for another hectic holiday season, so here we go. Our first November dance will be on Fri., Nov. 13. Our second dance this month will be our traditional Friday after Thanksgiving. That is Fri., Nov. 27. After an exhausting day at the mall, come and have a relaxing time while dancing off a few of those nasty calories. To make this dance extra special we are going to make this a FREE night, but we will be collecting donations for our traditional "Holiday Wish Program." We hope you will have a few extra holiday dollars to contribute this year just as you have most generously done in previous years. All our dances are in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom from 7 to 9 pm. Our line dance instruction will be in the South Clubhouse on Mon., Nov. 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30 from 7 to 8:30 pm. Couples instruction will be on Tues., Nov. 10 and 24, from 7 to 8 pm in the South Clubhouse. Don't forget about the New Year's Eve dance at the North Clubhouse. We will again have a catered dinner with lots of fun and dancing. Check our flyer and sign up as we do have limited space. We think it's the best deal you will find. For information on any activity call Joe or Jean at 769-9148. Country Western Dance Since the late '90s, a group of residents have been practicing their dance routines. Ten of the present 35 have been there from the first class. Starting with the title, precision dancers, they voted to call themselves "Stardust dancers." The newest members of the group are: Donna Kissling, Marry Ellen Howe, and Penny Skog. The Stardust Dancers usually sustain a repertoire of eight numbers. Members can choose to participate in any number they wish to learn. Presently, they are working on two new routines: "Broadway," by Count Basie with 28 members, and a beach boy number with 20 members. The modeling class is revamping their "black and white spoof " and the "high fashion" numbers. Members are encouraged to select the routines they want to do for performances. The dancers recently performed "One" and the "Can Can" numbers in the IDS show, and will present a Beach Boy medley in the follies. The annual Stardust showcase will be July 15 and 16 for 2016. Dance styles taught include Broadway, light jazz, precision, novelty, modeling, and fun, fun, fun. Exercise and music appreciation is included as well. Call Evelyn at 845-7199 or any Stardust dancer if you are interested in more information. Stardust Dancers
