54 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | NOVEMBER 2015 | Roy Corrall Roy passed away on September 10, 2015. He was born in Worcester Park, England on March 1, 1931 and he and Pat have resided in Sun Lakes since January, 1998. He was a wonderful, kind and caring gentleman. He is survived by his children Cliff and Kim; his grandchildren Jonah and Hailey, and brother and sister-in-law Myles and Jackie. His love of Sun Lakes never diminished and he was always there to give a helping hand to people who needed him as well as to all the clubs he supported. He will be sorely missed. Marilynn J. Loranger passed away October 4, 2015. Margie Theo Mello, 94, was born June 10, 1921, in Winside, Nebraska and passed away peacefully at home in Sun Lakes, Banning, California, surrounded by her family on September 27, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Valtah (Hines) Witte. Margie is survived by her husband Fred; daughters Joan Merritt and Janet Mello; grandchildren South Sharman, Jesse Olanolan, Kaili Olanolan, and Keani Olanolan; 13 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Margie moved with her mother to Oakland, California in 1941 where she met and married Fred Mello on August 16, 1942. They just celebrated 73 years of marriage. Fred and Margie have lived in Sun Lakes as Founders since 1987. They enjoyed their second home on Kauai, traveling in their motorhome, and taking numerous cruises. Until Margie got sick she loved her morning crossword puzzle, reading, tending her rose garden, walking around Sun Lakes, and watching Jeopardy. Her generous, kind spirit will be greatly missed by her family and neighbors. We want to thank Health Essentials Hospice (Ruth Nwinye) and Julie's In-Home Care (Vicky and April) for their unwavering support. Michael Leon Oliver Mike passed away Oct. 1, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Eva. Born in Manhattan, Kansas, he later joined the United States Navy as a young man. He moved to California in the 1960s and became a civil engineer, his chosen profession. Mike and Eva moved to Sun Lakes in 2000. His all time favorite pastimes were deep ocean fishing and live horse racing. He will be sorely missed. Friends we will miss We want to remember your loved ones in the "Friends We Will Miss" section, above, but we need your help. Please be sure to get us the information about their passing.
