| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | November 2015 | 12 Community Awareness Committee Riverside County General Plan Amendment 960 (GPA 960) is likely to be approved by the County Board of Supervisors at their Dec. 1 board meeting. In brief, this Amendment along with many other actions, provides for Reinhardt Canyon restrictions ensuring low density residential development with retention of secondary access requirements in case of emergency situations. The CAC remains vigilant on all future development initiatives seeking to use Four Seasons Weir Gate as a secondary access solution! State Route 79 Realignment as lifted up in last month's Herald article continues to be our focus. The Four Seasons HOA board has written and sent out a letter to Caltrans/Riverside County Transportation and other agencies voicing our association concerns regarding route placement and likely resultant noise, traffic congestion and visual blight associated with several of the noted realignment alternatives. The subject letter suggests the two alternative routes that minimize or eliminate impact to us. This is a lengthy process with lots of opportunity for public (our) inputs before project/route finalization. The city of Moreno Valley and the County of Riverside are favourably disposed to attracting warehouse and distribution center types of businesses as a strategy to improve their local economy. That sounds like it's good for them. But wait, that also means lots of additional truck traffic, potential additional air pollution and with the possibility that such pollution will blow East toward Hemet/ San Jacinto Valley. Not good for us! The CAC will be working with appropriate agencies to gain a better awareness of this matter and take those actions as may be necessary to help maintain our Valley air quality. "Quality of Life" is a phrase that is mentioned at public meetings, conversations among neighbors or written about in the local press. But just what is it? Is it good or bad in our community? Does it need to be improved? And if improvement is needed, how and to what extent? The CAC is starting to look at this with special focus on quality of life issues and opportunities as may affect Four Seasons residents. Stay tuned! Financial Report The total asset balance for September, 2015 is $5,152,502.89. Total liabilities are $137,391.91. The reserves at this time are $3,762,968.48.
