After a 30 year career in Human Resources,
Lynne M. Spreen reinvented herself as an author,
speaker, blogger, teacher, and webmaster. She
writes stories about positive aging, because she
believes we have the power to change the way
we see ourselves, and thus our futures. If you
would like to enjoy her blog posts, please visit
her website, www.AnyShinyThing.com, where
she blogs every Friday about positive aging, and
every Tuesday about the writing life.
Her debut novel, Dakota Blues, tells the story
of a 50-year-old woman who takes a last road trip with a 90-year-old friend.
Both are forever empowered and changed as a result. Dakota Blues won the Next
Generation Indie Book Award for excellence in Women's Fiction. Her second
book, Middle-Aged Crazy: Short Stories of Midlife and Beyond, was published last
July. You can access her books at her Amazon page: www.Amazon.com/author/

Lynne is currently working on two major projects. Key Largo Blues, the sequel
to her first novel, will be published next spring. Also, she is working with a group
of fellow writers to form the Diamond Valley Writers' Guild. The goal is to create
a home base for writers in the San Jacinto Valley, with regular meetings and
specialized subgroups where writers share information, learn from each other,
and support the achievement of their writing dreams. If you are interested in
receiving updates, helping with, or becoming a part of the group, please contact
her at LMSpreen@yahoo.com.
