23 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | November 2015 | Memoir Class is for novices and more experienced writers alike, presenting techniques long used by fiction writers to craft compelling characters, places and stories. It shows how to apply these techniques to writing an unforgettable narrative. And, at the same time, have fun sampling great desserts. Please join us Tuesdays, 2 to 5 pm in the Art Room. For info., email Eleanor Rosenbaum, effieboot@aol.com, or call (951) 223-3375. Memoir Writing Class & Desserts TGIF Fall has finally arrived and we can all look forward to warm food to share with our neighbors. Start planning now for what you will share on the first and third Friday evenings. Make it easy and tasty. We await your addition to our meal. The TGIF Committee has worked hard this year to create an entertaining environment where you can come and relax with others. If you haven't joined in the gathering for a while we invite everyone to join us once again. On Fri., Nov. 6 we will celebrate residents from the Master's Streets of Stephenson Lane, Lopez Way, Leonard Way, Lehman Way, Janzen Way, Inkster Way, Hoch Way, Gamez Way, and Furyk Way. While residents of these streets will be the honored guests every Four Seasons resident is invited to come to the Ballroom at 5 pm to enjoy the friendships that have blossomed over the years or if you have moved here in recent months, come and meet your neighbors. On Fri., Nov. 20 it will once again be a night of song. Yes, karaoke returns to TGIF. Whether you do the singing or the listening you will not want to miss the songs we have enjoyed over the years. Just remember all that you have to do is prepare one appetizer, salad, main dish, or dessert for 8 to 10 people and come at 5 pm to the Ballroom to join your neighbors. If you have your own service (plates, silverware) please bring them and if you do not they can be provided but be sure to bring your own beverage of choice. If you have enjoyed the TGIF gatherings of the past it is time to consider to serve your community for the next year as a member of the TGIF planning committee. This only requires your ideas and your attendance once a month or once every three TGIF Fridays dependent upon the size of the committee. Being a member of the committee calls for setting and cleaning up but it has been found that residents all pitch in so it actually only means to be friendly and share in the responsibility of using the Ballroom at no expense. Interested? Please contact Bob Morriss at bobmorriss@yahoo.com or call him at (951) 325-8201. Book Club All readers interested in great discussions, occasional guest speakers and movies, join us the 3rd Monday of every month. Our book for November is Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline. We will be meeting at my house at 669 Weir Drive at 2 pm. Hope to see all of you. Any questions contact Vicki Allen-Hitt at (951) 926-6336 or vhitt@hotmail.com. Wanted! Our group is mixed from good to great. Please come early don't be late. Pairs do change after each round. Some new friends just might be found. Info., Herb Bernstein, (415) 990-6361. Bridge Club
