| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | November 2015 | 30 2015 OLDlympics The OLDlympics is a competition for senior adults, aged 50 and older, which has been operating for 21 years. There are 20 events to choose from, including billiards, bingo, bowling, chair volleyball, cribbage, golf, horseshoes, lawn bowling, pickleball, pinochke, scrabble, shuffleboard, softball, swimming, table tennis, rennes, Texas Hold'em and track and field. This year we had a variety of events represented by Four Seasons participants. PARTICIPANTS REPRESENTING FOUR SEASONS IN THE 2015 OLDLYMPICS: Anne Alexander: Tennis – women's (gold) and mixed doubles. Mason Arnold: Tennis – men's and mixed doubles. Judy Bailey: Pickleball (silver); Tennis – women's (bronze) and mixed doubles. Dennis Bovee: Swimming (1 gold, 3 silver, 1 bronze). Sid Cohen: Parlor games. Victoria Danner: Tennis – women's (silver) and mixed doubles. Trish Egan: Pickleball (bronze); Tennis – women's and mixed doubles. Sharon Knepfler: Tennis – mixed doubles. Mike McConnell: Tennis – men's and mixed doubles. Cheryl Robinson: Bowling (silver); Tennis – women's and mixed doubles. Chuck Sims: Tennis – men and mixed doubles. Sandy St.John: Pickleball (silver); Tennis – women's and mixed doubles. John Tarabochia: Tennis – mixed doubles. George Togo: Tennis – men's (silver) and mixed doubles. Dennis Uhlken: Tennis – men's (silver) and mixed doubles. Mindy Venable: Shuffleboard. NOTE: The "Tennis Mixed Doubles" was rained out on Oct. 4. It is rescheduled for Oct. 11. Good luck to all of the Four Season's participants! The OLDlympics are held each year for 18 days between the end of September and the beginning of October. The event is presented by Valley-wide Recreation and Park District. The events are held at various locations in the Hemet/San Jacinto area.
