| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | November 2015 | 4 Message From the Board of Directors Sincerely, and on behalf of your Board, Tony, Greg, Ken, Russ, Jim & Gene Hal Townend, President Hal Townend, President As you receive this edition of your Hemet Herald it will soon be Thanksgiving time. This season is always a time for reflection on family gatherings at grandma and grandpa's house "when we were young." In the blink of an eye, we have become the grandparents (and even great grandparents) and now the young come to us and wear us out. How wonderful. Speaking of time, it stops for no one and our work on behalf of our community continues. In this regard, in the October issue of the Herald, we mentioned that our infrastructure/s/ were now over 12 years old and some portions may be due for a major overhaul. Well, since then this prediction came to pass. A portion of the support beams around and above the patio barbeque area suffered major structural damage. It was then discovered that the structure on the right hand side of the barbeque area was also under severe stress and a safety hazard. Accordingly, we contracted to have both structures torn down. In short, our plans for the patio area have been overtaken by events. We have made the decision to "replace" these structures with stronger materials, i.e., steel and a tile roof to reasonably match the Lodge building roof. Further, the roof area will be expanded to provide cover over the barbeques and counter top. This design will greatly enhance the patio area and make it more usable under most weather conditions. Since this project falls under the maintenance, repair, replace options available to your Board, funds to cover the cost will be drawn from our "reserves," which are in place for purposes such as this. This money will be replaced in due course. Artistic depictions of the finished product will be placed in the Lodge lobby for viewing by any and all interested residents. You will soon receive a copy of the Annual Budget Report, Annual Policy Statement and Disclosure Package. We are pleased to tell you that within this package you will read that there will be no HOA dues increase for 2016. Stated differently, your $163 monthly assessment will remain the same. In conclusion for this month, we recognize that the Holiday Season can be a time of sadness for those who have experienced debilitating illness or lost dear ones. To you, please know that within Four Seasons at Hemet, you are surrounded by friends who will be there for you if you need them. Please reach out to them, you will be glad that you did. To you all, have a peaceful Thanksgiving and thanks for your support.
