HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! I would like to wish our community a very Happy Anniversary! It is hard to believe that we are 10 years old. In October 2005 we had our first homeowners move in and our community continues to look more beautiful each year. Looking forward to the next 10 years! NEW STAFF MEMBERS You may have noticed a few new faces at the Lodge and Summit front desk. I would like to introduce you to: Danya Lynd, Savannah Moore, and Lisa Smith. If you have not already done so, please stop by and introduce yourself. HOMEOWNER SUGGESTIONS By popular demand I am going to continue including the homeowner suggestions and the Board's response/directives in the monthly report: 1. Less salt or no salt in the popcorn. The popcorn comes in a kit and does not have the option of less or no salt. 2. Do not build a dog park. No action required. 3. More chairs for the Billiards Room. This will benefit those able to sit during play times. This request will be researched to see if an accommodation can be made. 4. Please consider adding a rowing machine to each gym (Lodge and new center). Submitted to Safety & Facilities Committee. 5. Concert (Sept. 20) too loud. This was the first time we were able to hear concert in 4.5 years. Please check sound. No action taken. 6. Shade canopies for Summit and more lounge chairs. Safety & Facilities Committee is looking for furniture that will match the existing patio furniture. Shade canopies are not being considered on the patio at this time. 7. Fix TV volume on 1st recumbent exercise bike. Too loud in gym. In progress. 8. Breeze needs to be mailed out so we can see it before the start of the month. This has been addressed with the publisher of the Breeze. 9. Pet park. A pet park is not being considered at this time. 10. Please repair pond fountain in front of Lodge. The pond is working at this time. 11. New books in the library current best sellers. Live entertainment in Bistro. Current up-to-date movies. The books are donated by residents (other than classics only books published from 2000 to present are included in the library); live entertainment in the Bistro will be available in November; researching the ability to obtain current movies. 12. If new equipment for the gym is purchased, please consider machines that return to starting position on their own. No action taken. 13. More popcorn popped on the weekend so kids can have popcorn after swimming. The popcorn was originally provided for the residents attending the movie; however, it has been made available to anyone in the Lodge. The popcorn is scheduled to be popped during certain times and is available until it is gone. 14. Give the card room back to the Canasta players. No action taken. 15. Transponder reader at front gate needs work. It doesn't work well. In progress. 16. Fix the light pole on Four Seasons (right side heading up towards the Sales Office). The light is maintained by the city of Beaumont. They have been contacted regarding the anticipated replacement date. 17. Maintain the "schedule of events" sign near the guard booth with current events. Typically most events listed have passed. The event board is updated on a monthly basis. 18. Please stop turning down outdoor pool temperature. The Lodge pool temperature will generally range from 84-87 degrees. The temperature has not been turned down below 84 degrees. 19. Disable/turn off TV speakers on exercise equipment. Users ignore posted signs to use headphones. In progress. 20. Really need an outside clock. Further information regarding location is required. 21. Seeing if some residents would be willing to chip in for a Keurig coffee maker, coffee, cups, etc. No action taken. 22. Post pool rules on wall to prevent fights. Please refrain from fighting and please treat others in the pool as you would like to be treated. The established pool rules are available in your Community Guidelines. 23. Blinds for windows facing south and west to block afternoon sun. In progress.
