Horseshoe Club
The month of October brought with it the annual OLDlympics
in Hemet. This year four of our members participated in the
horseshoe competition as well as numerous other events bringing
home multiple medals. Those proud members were Dee Kelch,
Brian Anderson, Richard Carrasco and Ron Erickson.
Our club continues to meet on Wednesday mornings and now
that The Summit is open from 7 am to 7 pm, we've changed our
start time to 8 am. Our secretary, Dee Kelch, says "This change is
permanent until we change it again."
Our monthly social has become a big event with more
members participating in it than playing horseshoes. We always
have dinner at the Bistro followed by dessert at a member's
home. It was hosted this month by Emile and Jeannie Pelletier
at their beautiful home. The backyard putting green was a major
attraction with spirited competitions between members. Jeannie
was asked for her recipes for several of the desserts offered. Great
evening.
