We met with the City of Hemet to coordinate continued grooming and maintenance at the front and back gates. We discussed the maintenance and upkeep along Florida Avenue, El Nino preparations with special consideration to erosion and drainage, and most of all, we continue to strengthen the relationship of the committee with the city for future improvements and enhancements. The Committee members have been attending additional meetings discussing the current landscape contract and voted to put the Contract out to bid. The committee has requested proposals from several companies and hosted a bidders conference and community tour in late October. Proposals have been received from several companies and the Committee members are currently reviewing the bids. Once the Committee has made their selection, a recommendation will be made to the board. We are targeting sometime in December for contract negotiations to begin and a new landscape contract to be in place the first quarter of 2016. The predicted Godzilla El Nino should be the strongest in December and January. Don't forget to inspect tree limbs that might be a problem in high winds, clean out rain gutters, inspect roof tiles for breakage and your roof for leaks. Spending a little extra time to inspect these items could save you a little money. As we all know, the community is 12 years old. Our homes require more maintenance to stay new looking and much of our community landscape is requiring the same. The committee members are aware of this and continue to inspect areas monthly for anything that requires our maintenance crew's attention. This is where we need your help! If you see anything that needs maintenance (weed abatement, dead tree limbs, dead or diseased trees, sidewalk or fence raised from tree roots, etc.) complete and submit a Maintenance Request form at the front desk. Help us keep our community looking like new! 11 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | December 2015 |
