19 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | December 2015 | Here we are at the end of 2015. What a great year it has been for the Sunshine Team! Marge and Marilyn took over in July from the fantastic team of Cookie and Donna. Marge considers all the chairs as equal partners but Marge has been the spark that keeps the team going full speed ahead. In October we had one Celebration of Life for Lyle Espinoza. His family planned a special memorial for their father and grandfather. Team Sunshine continues to be amazed at the interesting lives so many of our residents have lived and the many talents of people like Lyle. We always wish we had known them better. Two more people with very interesting lives and amazing talents passed away recently. Dave Race's Celebration of Life will be on Nov. 18. He will be greatly missed by his wife Carol and his family and the Tai Chi and Ham Radio groups. Scottie Singer's Celebration of Life will be Nov. 19 given by her caring friends. She has a special place in the hearts of all who knew her. The Sunshine Team appreciates all the donations from so many of our thoughtful residents at the Car Show in October. The Blue Thong Club and the Sunday Karaoke Group were very generous with their contributions from their beer and wine booth. We thank you all! We hope you were able to stop by our booth at the car show and get a sunshine present from the Team. One of very talented members, Mary Harper, designed a sunflower on the tops of pens as a gift from us. Also, it was our pleasure to allow your young grandchildren to pick the pockets of our Pocket Ladies for a little gift from the team. We exist entirely on donations and our residents have been very generous. Helen Johnson and Brenda Beers are our treasurer's team and they do an excellent job of depositing our monetary gifts and distributing our funds as we need them. As usual we appreciate all the cards and calling our special teams do. Our prayer group has also been instrumental in helping by praying for all our residents with special needs. There will be no Sunshine program in December. We know everyone is busy enough with the holidays but we appreciate your attendance at our programs throughout the year. Our January program will be the birthday party for all our residents 90 and older. We salute you all for your long lives. Everyone is welcome to attend the party. And last but not least is our quote from the one who keeps the entire Sunshine Team on track with her computer and organizational skills and her sense of humor. Guess who? Jeanne Lincoln "Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine." Team Sunshine
