18 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2015 Social Committee Thank you, thank you, thank you to all my old and new friends at Four Seasons for all your cards, phone calls, visits, and well wishes during my recent illness. I am doing well and hope to be showing up at the Lodge and resuming my committee duties soon. Many thanks to all the people who have helped carry out my duties during the last two plus months. I wish I could name them all to let them to know how much I appreciate them. I did make it for a few hours to the Halloween gala and Mary Primack and her crew did an amazing job putting this party on and I hope you all had a good time. Thanks to Cindy Graves and Nelly Alcocer for all their work also. We are sorry to be losing Toni Finer as a committee member due to family medical reasons. She will be missed. Since Toni will be leaving in January the committee will be short by two members so if anyone is interested in this fun, hard-working committee please stop by the main desk at the Lodge and fill out an application. Don't forget our New Year's Gala is fast approaching and it is always a sell-out event, so get your tickets early. The theme this year is Arabian Nights and the cost is $50 per person. Hope to see you there. Looking forward to seeing you all soon. ~ Melody Seewoster New Year's Eve is full of mystery and exotic charm this year as we create an "Arabian Nights" theme for Four Seasons this year. Feel free to come in costume, casual dress or dressy attire and be prepared to feel like you are celebrating in a place out of this world. We will have a delicious Mediterranean dinner with a live band and special entertainment throughout the evening. A special gift this year is that contrary to our previous advertisements of the ticket price being $60, we are now able to sell the tickets for $50. Thanks to some careful shopping, we were able to find a savings that we could pass on to you. This event is always sold out so whatever you do, don't wait until the last minute to come down to the Lodge and buy your tickets. They went on sale Nov. 17. The last possible day to purchase tickets is Dec. 22 although I doubt that there will be any tickets available that late. Next year is already filling up with fun event plans, including an amazing concert by the True Willie Nelson Tribute Band here in the Lodge on Saturday, March 19. This is an amazing opportunity for our residents and is only available because we have connections. You are also not going to believe the price for the concert either. Just $20! Get it on your calendar now, you'll never have this opportunity again! The Social Committee would like to thank all of the amazing volunteers who so generously gave of their time this year to help us decorate at our various events including gals from the African American Culture Club, the gals from the Springdales, Tom and Doug, Bernadette Chance, Deana Cortez and Helen, Mary Chrystleman, Cindy Schwinn and soo many others. We couldn't have done it without you! We especially want to thank Toni Finer who did an amazing job as the Social Committee secretary this year. It will be sad to see her step down, but we fully believe that family comes first. We'd also like to thank Jean Sandavol who was our board liaison this year. She came to nearly all of our event work days and was a huge source of encouragement for the committee. We'd also like to wish our fearless leader, Melody Seewoster, a fast remission as she battles cancer right now. She has invested so much of herself into this committee for years and we continue to be helped and coached by her through phone calls. If you like parties and entertainment and have some ideas you would be willing to share, we'd love to hear from you. Please feel welcome to join us at our monthly meetings.
