FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2015 39 Performing Arts Club Merry Christmas, Feliz Navidad, Happy Hanukkah, and best wishes for Winter Solstice, Boxing Day, and finally my favorite, New Year's Eve! Yes, December has finally arrived. For those of you lucky enough to have had tickets for the play, "Seasons," I'm sure you enjoyed yourselves as much as I did. I was so impressed by the acting and the play itself. Congrats and hats off to Eileen Gilbert, the author and to our community neighbors, the actors, for putting together a wonderfully entertaining show. So what does the Performing Arts Club have in store for you this month? To begin with, the Holiday Show! Identical performances will be held on Friday, Dec. 4 and Saturday, Dec. 5 at 6:30 pm in the Lodge Ballroom. The Holiday Show is the most widely attended of the year, so we have two shows to accommodate as many residents and guests as possible. Choose which day is best for you and arrive early. The choir will be singing beautiful holiday songs, some having significant difficulty with three and four part harmony. We've been rehearing for months to assure a perfect performance and we have a surprise ending song. Please bring bells or keys with you to participate in one or more of our songs. There will also be some very moving readings, "Memories of the Holidays," mostly written by members of our Writer's Club. We will end the show with the choir and audience sing-aolong. It will be a wonderful evening. Hocus Pocus, Abracadabra! On Tuesday, Dec. 8, we will be presenting a Magic Show with a "World Famous, Professional Magician!" This will be held in the Lodge Ballroom at 7 pm. We thought about starting earlier and setting up the room with tables for dinner but we heard rumors that the magician had the ability to make food disappear! As a result, the show will begin at 7 pm and the seating will be "theater-style." This is a show not to be missed. Please be safe on New Year's Eve. Don't drink and drive! I'll be in touch next year when I'll update you on all of the performances/dates we have scheduled for 2016. If you have any questions, please email terimk@verizon.net or call (951) 992-9156. ~ Teri Meyers-Kelman
