FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2015 5 INVISIBLE TRANSPONDERS The current gate access transponder policy allows a resident to only have a total of three gate access control units per household. With technology changing, the old transponders are being replaced with the invisible transponders (stickers). Homeowners are required to affix the stickers to their vehicles; therefore, they are no longer portable from one vehicle to another. The Board of Directors has approved a change to the policy. Residents may purchase an invisible transponder for any vehicle registered to their home within the community. The resident will be required to provide proof of registration upon purchase of the invisible transponder. The transponders are sold to the resident at the association's cost. The cost for a window sticker is $12 and the headlamp sticker is $16. AS A REMINDER: Please remove the invisible transponders when you sell or dispose of a vehicle. Thank you! SPEED LIMIT REMINDER The speed limit on Four Seasons Circle is 30 miles per hour. All other streets within the community are 25 miles per hour. Please abide by the speed limit for the protection of our friends and neighbors! TRASH CANS We continue to receive complaints and notice trash cans are being placed out for collection too early or left out too late. The Community Guidelines state "Trash receptacles may be put out after 5 pm the evening prior to collection and should be removed by dusk the day of collection." We will begin sending notices to those residences that are not following the above stated guidelines. Manager's Update By Jeri Mupo, General Manager HOMEOWNER SUGGESTIONS 1. Keep indoor pool at Summit open until 9 pm: The Board will consider expanding the Summit hours when the budget provides the support. 2. Add a U.S. Postal mailbox in front of the Lodge: Researching. 3. Fix that super loud refrigerator in the Bistro: Will be submitted to Bistro Committee for review. 4. We would like signs for pickleball, like the other sport groups, on the courts and to point to the courts: Researching. 5. When the person at the front desk needs to step away they need to arrange for a FirstService person from the other building to cover them or at least put a sign up saying where they are: All staff members make every effort to maintain coverage at the front desk and the management office. A sign is being purchased to advise residents where they can locate a Lodge attendant when coverage is unavailable. 6. The Spectrum Aquatics cover for the handicap chair at the Summit spa has numerous large tears in it. It should be repaired by a tailor or else the tears will get much worse when the winds come, or buy a new cover: Submitted to Facility Manager for repair/replacement. 7. Thank you from the Water Aerobics class for heating the pool to 84 degrees. 8. Extend handrails in Jacuzzi. The bottom step is out of sight and beyond rail. Each person going in for the first time either stumbled or nearly did so: Will be submitted to Safety and Facilities Committee for review. 9. Outside T.V. for Summit patio: Will be submitted to Safety and Facilities Committee for review. DOLLARS & SENSE At the Nov. 12 Board of Directors meeting, the Board approved the following expenses: • Additional Emergency Preparedness equipment installation costs: not to exceed $1,500 • Rim Trail flax removal and relocation: $2,585 • Trail benches and table maintenance: $2,750 • Change of compressed wood to natural wood for Ballroom decorating project: $1,500 • Holiday décor for Lodge, RCN, Summit, Gate Houses: $6,000
