Can you believe that this is my last YAH article
for 2015! The year has certainly flown by…. and
what a fun year is has been.
DEC. 31, NEW YEARS EVE PARTY: There are
no openings for our New Years Eve party to be held
at the South Clubhouse beginning at 8 pm Dec. 31.
This event is very popular and was limited to 100 members,
on a first come first serve basis. The cost is $30 pp and includes
a delicious dinner, music, dancing, party favors and a glass of
champagne to ring in the New Year. There is a waiting list available
so contact Michele Walter at 202-8009 if you want to be wait-listed.
JAN. 24, NFL PLAYOFFS & CHILI COOK OFF: It's never too early
to start routing for your team and prepping that chili recipe. We
hope to have many varieties of chili available for your
tasting pleasure. Cost is $5 pp. Joe Shaw and Patti are the
contact persons for this event. If you plan to enter a Chili
for the contest, let Joe know. Drop you checks off at 651
Brooklawn.
YAH BOARD ELECTIONS: We have three openings for
the 2016 Board: Secretary and two activity chairpersons. If you
or someone you know is interested in being on a FUN Board, call
Michele Walter at 202-8009.
Dues will remain $10 pp for 2016 and will be due on Jan. 1, 2016.

Young at Heart
Low Vision Support Group
We meet the 2nd and 4th Monday each month from 10 am to 12 noon in the Main
Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. The purpose of this group is to empower visually
impaired people to live fulfilling lives. We will share information regarding the basics
of blindness and visual impairment. We will discuss the emotional impact of sight
loss and how to cope with the changes in lifestyle. During each meeting we will have
a speaker and provide tips on how to safely get around your home and community.
