"In some 20 percent of cases — and as many as 30 percent — prescriptions for medication are never filled. Up to 50 percent of medications aren't taken as prescribed. Medication noncompliance creates major headaches for patients and doctors alike down the road, and can sometimes be deadly. For example, someone with congestive heart failure who doesn't take their diuretics correctly, regularly, will often wind up in the hospital again and again. Failure to follow prescriptions causes some 125,000 deaths a year and up to 10 percent of all hospitalizations. Make changes to your behavior. Changing your routine can bring different results. 2. Define SMART goals. When setting your goals, use the SMART acronym: specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time- specific. 3. Track your progress. A calendar, or a calendar app, is a handy tool you can use to track your goals. " 4. Make it public. When individuals announce their goals on social media, to their families or in the workplace, they are being held accountable by those closest to them 5. Reward small achievements. When you reach a portion of your goal, as an example you lose 10 of those 25 pounds, remember to be kind to yourself and give yourself a little reward. ~ Jason Ewals frOM the recreatiOn departMent GENERAL CLASS INFO. If there are not enough people enrolled, a class will be canceled. If you register at least a week early, we'll be able to save classes that appear to have not met the minimum enrollment. In most cases, we'll also be able to add classes if we exceed the maximum enrollment provided a wait list has been established prior to the first class meeting. Class fees are determined by the number of participants enrolled in each class. For current fees, please contact the class instructor. Due to the number of participants, the class fee may be increased slightly or the class may be canceled.
