Three members posed questions and concerns pertaining to the proposed photo speed trailer. The topic has been placed on the November open session of the Board to discuss and answer questions. 2. A Member discussed an emergency earthquake gas shut off valve he installed on his personal home. The member asked if the Board would consider having these installed on all homes within Sun Lakes. Thank you for the very good report on the benefits of having the shut off valve. The Board does not carry the authority to install these valves on the personal property of the members; however, it should be noted that the Association does have an emergency earthquake shut off valve installed on the main clubhouse. 3. A Member questioned the annual architectural inspections being conducted by the Planning and Compliance department. The Member further commented on why the letters are going out now, for an improvement that was completed 23 years ago. As a part of the annual systematic inspection program, all homes within the community are being reviewed to ensure proper documentation is in place and improvements completed on homes are in compliance with the general aesthetics of the community. November Open Session Board Action Items The Board approved the appointment of the following members to the respective advisory committees. Moody, Gerry Fawcett Golf Advisory Committee: Gary Headding Master Architectural Committee: Jack Barret, Chuck Massey Recreation Advisory Committee: Donna Leone, Jeri Wall, Marci Gluzinski, Shelia Hammer, Patricia Elevi, Carolyn Wright, Doree Meinhold Lifestyles Advisory Committee: Sandra Caton, Carolyn Wright, Charlene Fink Marketing Advisory Committee: Robert Walter, Anita Lawrence, Karen Clavelot, Sandra Moyer, Dennis Stancik, Charlie Friese The Board appointed the following Members to the Delegate Assembly: Anita Temple as the Delegate for district 4; Leon Fikse as Alternate Delegate for district 23; The Board approved a request from the San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital Foundation to hold their board installation event at Sun Lakes on January 25, 2016. The Board approved a proposed rule change pertaining to residential sale and open houses. The Board approved the 2016 recreation calendar. The Board denied a Member's appeal of a Master Architectural Committee ruling, pertaining to paint color. (Article III) The Board reviewed a Member's appeal of a Master Architectural Committee ruling, pertaining to artificial flowers. (Article VII, 7.20(n)). The Board ultimately decided the variance request would be referred back to the MAC to have it provide more specific reasoning for the denial. If this cannot be provided, the variance request would be approved. The Board listened to a presentation from the Community Action Partnership of Riverside concerning homeowner assistance programs.
