FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2016 5 movinG uP! It is with bittersweet emotions that we are saying goodbye to two of our management staff members. Renee Watkins has accepted a position in our Santa Clarita office as a Community Manager. She has wanted to move closer to her two daughters and grandchildren. In addition, Fabiana Spinelli has accepted a position in our Palm Desert office as a Community Manager. Sapphire Rhodes has been promoted from Lodge attendant to replace Renee as Facility Coordinator in the management office. I am excited for each of them to begin their new journey and wish them continued success! GAtE AccEss trAnsPonDErs We have received some questions regarding the gate access transponders. I hope the following will provide some clarification: There are three transponder styles – invisible windshield, invisible headlamp, black rectangular box. What is the difference? The black transponders were only device with the original gate reader system. These transponders are no longer available. The black transponders have been replaced with the invisible windshield and headlamp transponders. What is the difference between the invisible headlamp and windshield transponders? We have found that certain high-end vehicles have a higher lead content in their windshields and are unable to receive a signal from the entry reader. The headlamp stickers are made to endure exterior weather conditions and work better for vehicles that do not have enclosed windshields: for example motorcycles and golf carts. The window stickers work well for standard vehicles. Do I have to turn in my original black transponder? As long as the black transponder continues to work you do not need to turn it in. If it fails to work, you will need to turn it in and purchase an invisible transponder. What is the cost? The cost for the windshield transponder is $12 and the headlamp transponder is $16. If you have any questions regarding the transponders, please contact the management office. Manager's Update By Jeri Mupo, General Manager homEoWnEr suGGEstions For thE loDGE 1.
