FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2016 45 There are not any RV trips with our group this month because of Christmas being such a busy time. But, we all hope you had a very merry Christmas, and have a wonderful upcoming new year! Our December meeting was a holiday get together at Pat and Gordon Shepard's home. Our trips in planning, after the new year, are to Havasu/Parker, Yuma, Pechanga, Silver Strands beach in Coronado, Palm Springs, and Paso Robles. Tim and I will be wagon masters for San Clemente in late October. Our next meeting is the second Thursday of January, at 6 pm in the Lodge Card Room. Please feel welcome to join us and learn more about the Roadrunner RVers. Any questions please call Bill Guy at (951) 845-5627, or Jane Jacobson at (951) 797-3563. ~ Jane Jacobson Roadrunner RV'ers Seven vehicles participated in the November trip to Rattlesnake Canyon. Bob Cooper was the leader. We entered the Canyon off of Route 247 in Johnson Valley. We headed south and came out near Pioneer Town. The fall colors were at their peak, and as we continued up the Canyon, there was a dusting of snow which added to the color. As we proceeded up the trail, the canyon walls narrowed so there were numerous sharp curves that we had to negotiate. Once we arrived at the top there was a superb stand of very large Joshua Trees. We continued on to Pioneer Town where we posed for a picture in front of the jail. We finished the day with lunch at Ruby's Diner. Everyone had a great time, and the consensus was that this trip was much easier than the last one. If you are interested in learning more about this group, please join us for our meeting which is held the second Tuesday of the month at 7 pm in the Lodge. Our monthly trip is usually the third Thursday of every month. We meet in the north parking lot of the Lodge at 8 am. Anyone who has a four-wheel drive vehicle is welcome. Most of the trips are on state service trails designated as four-wheel drive. We do not do extreme off roading (most of the time). If you have any questions call Bob Cooper at (951) 769-6352 or Steve Kenyon at (951) 660-1366. ~ Bob Cooper 4x4 Seasons Gordon and Pat Shepard, Dianne and Larry Anderson, Tanya and Bill Guy, Judy and Bill Winters at A J Spurs Roadrunners RV'ers group at Huntington Beach Luau enjoying food and margaritas.
