I'm thrilled to serve this year as Chairman and very much looking forward to working closely with our President/CEO of Yucaipa Valley Chamber of Commerce Amy Minjares. I've been working in business with Wildwood Canyon Villa Assisted Living and Memory care community which opened in April of 2004. Our mission is to provide the Yucaipa area's seniors with high quality care and services in a setting that was as homelike and welcoming as possible. Since we opened, our staff of 56 has served over 700 residents and their families. But our involvement with the community has been far deeper than our mission to serve Yucaipa's seniors, we have also attempted to serve and support the entire community; we have become and remain actively involved. In a larger sense, Wildwood Canyon's success has only been possible through the support we have received from the citizens and the business and professional communities of the greater Yucaipa area. Opening and succeeding in any new business is very much dependent on the support and assistance received from our business partners and, in that, we have been truly blessed. As the new Chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce for 2016, my goal will be to assure that we remain open and supportive to all businesses in the Yucaipa area. Starting and maintaining a successful business is difficult in the best of times, but with the resources and support from the larger business community, our businesses, new and existing, have a real advantage. The Chamber is an integral part of our community and I pledge to do all a can to maintain and, with support from other Chamber members, expand our ability to serve our members. Pam Firestone receives $100 in Yucaipa First! certificates from Chamber President/ CEO Amy Minjares. Pam faithfully has her reward card stickered at participating businesses and it has paid off for Pam. Make sure to have your rewards card stickered for your chance to win $100 to be spent at Yucaipa FIRST! businesses. Yucaipa First!
