If you've ever watched PGA TOUR players putt you know they operate on a whole different level than weekend warriors like you and me. When they're hot it can seem like they are making every single putt that they look at…and make it seem completely effortless. So… how do they do it? The answer is quite a bit more straightforward that you might think. In fact, it's just one word. Practice. Hours. Days. Weeks. Months. Years. Relentless practice on the putting green honing their stroke, their distance control, and their touch is what makes these guys so deadly with the flat stick. The world's number 1 ranked player, Jordan Spieth, is no exception. He practices his putting religiously and the results speak for themselves. If you want to practice like PGA TOUR star Jordan Spieth just give the game below a try next time you're on the putting green. Here's how to practice putting like world #1 Jordan Spieth… 1. Grab a friend and find a straight putt about 10 feet long. Position two coins (or ball markers) about half way to the hole just wide enough that a ball can fit between them. 2. The goal is to hit your ball between the two coins AND get it to drop into the hole. This gives you two points. If your ball goes between the coins but misses the hole (or vice-versa) you only get 1 point. 3. The player with the most points after 10 putts is the winner. You can play this game when you're out for an evening practice session with a friend, or you can use it as a pre-round warm up drill before teeing off. Either way it will help you improve your accuracy and sink more of those 10 foot putts that can turn bogeys into pars and pars into birdies!
