MARCH PROGRAM: In March our speaker will be Gary Parton, owner of Alpenglow Lilac Garden in Idyllwild. Mr. Parton will be speaking about the planting and care of lilacs and about the upcoming Lilac Festival. SEE'S CANDIES SALES: See's Candies will be on sale March 21 - 25. Look for us in the lobby or the library at the Main Clubhouse. Please remember that we do have gift certificates available also. For more information please call Maureen Keeney at 797-0011. TRIPS: We will be traveling to the Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center in Jurupa Valley. A guided tour will be offered to include The Fossil Shack and grounds. There will be plenty of time to explore on your own. Comfortable, safe walking shoes are important. The property is hilly and not smoothed over. We will leave at 11 am and return at 4 pm. Price for this tour is $47 pp. You can bring your own lunch and enjoy it in the picnic area. You may also order lunch to go from the Main Clubhouse restaurant. You can also drop checks at Evelyn's home, 1607 Fairway Oaks in the bucket on the porch. HOME GARDEN TOUR: This is the year that the Garden Club will be sponsoring the Sun Lakes Garden Tour. The dates are May 20 and 21 from 11 am to 4 pm both days. Entry applications are available in all Clubhouses now. Deadline to enter is April 22. Entries selected will be limited to 20 participants. These ladies and helpers are ready to pick your fruit that you do not use. It goes to the kitchens in our area that feed those in need. MEMBERSHIP: We accept membership dues and new members at all meetings. We meet the second Wednesday of each month and our dues are $15 per year. Questions? Stephanie Carnes, Dream Dinners of Redlands, demonstrated an innovative concept of advance meal planning. This concept consists of assembling your meals at their store on Industrial Park Avenue and then taking them home. Don't miss our March 25 meeting. Happy Cookers Chorale The Chorale of Sun Lakes welcomed 14 new members last month, and is busy rehearsing on Mondays and Thursdays for its Spring Concert Series. Concerts will be held on Friday and Saturday, April 29 and 30 at 7 pm, and Sun., May 1 at 3 pm. Tickets are $8 pp, and go on sale in the Main Clubhouse lobby three weeks before the concerts.
