However, if the El Niño predictions are anywhere near accurate, that just might come to a screeching halt during the next two months. It is not too late to join our 2016 Men's Golf Club! Applications are in the main Pro Shop and your $63* registration fee (*Men's Club cost pro-rated monthly after 60 days in 2016) includes your handicap with the S.C.G.A./G.H.I.N. and the opportunity of playing in the remaining 2016 tournaments! In addition, our members play for Closest To The Pin Cash Awards on Two Holes each non-tournament Wednesday, Hole In One, Shoot Your Age or Better, plus Player Of The Month awards in each category for scrip or golf ball awards. Our Tournament Schedules are included in our monthly Breeze publication and the 2016 Schedule is also available on our web site. On Wed., March 2, we will have the "Safari/Modified Tournament and on Sat., March 19 the Men's Club will have it's first "Jack Dutton Memorial Tournament of Champions." All information pertaining to these tournaments will be posted on the SLCC web page and also highlighted in the Men's Club Breeze. Come and join us on a great golf course. Executive Men's Golf Men's Golf Women's Golf In addition to the eight major tournaments that the club has planned, club members also have the opportunity to play in a variety of weekly golf games. The weekly games are not only fun and challenging, but they also provide members the opportunity to meet and play with different club members throughout the year. If you are looking for an enjoyable challenge on our Championship Course and the camaraderie of many golf sisters, join us in the Sun Lakes Women's Golf Club. We play Thursday mornings and the first Saturday of the month. Tournaments are flighted and a $65 membership fee includes a W.S.C.G.A. sanctioned handicap. Spring is just around the corner and it's time to think about dusting off those clubs and heading out to the golf course. The par 60 Executive Course comprises 18 challenging holes with six par 3s and three par 4s each nine. We play every Friday with monthly tournaments on the third Friday of the month. So come join us some Friday morning at the North Clubhouse for a 9 am tee time. Our next tournament on March 18th is an Irish 4-Ball format followed by lunch in the North Clubhouse. In this format the team score is the total of 1-net score for holes 1-6, 2-net scores for holes 7-11, 3-net scores for holes 12-15, and all 4-net scores for holes 16- 18. Tournament winners have $ credited to their accounts which can be used to purchase items from the Pro Shop or Restaurant/ Lounge. Membership is open to all Sun Lakes male residents, and we welcome golfers of all levels. New member forms are available in the North Pro Shop or EMGC website. We will be staying at the CasaBlanca Hotel & Casino and playing golf at the CasaBlanca and Palms courses. Plan now to join us. The sign-up sheet with more details will soon be in the Main Pro Shop.
