FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2016 31 Seasoned solos Attention all singles! Come join us for fun and adventures. We attend concerts, plays, miniature golf, picnics, luncheons and much more. We meet to make plans on the first Friday of each month in the Craft Room. Meetings are at 6 pm. For information call Monica Sarafian at (951) 922-8805. ~ Toby Davis Ballroom & Social Dance We've had some great times going out to dance the past several weeks. First it was the Palm Springs Pavilion Ballroom, where we were entertained by Skyline Xpress and had a full evening of dancing. Then it was Hemet West, now sporting a new, full-size dance floor, where we danced to the music of Ron and Diane. On Monday nights, dance lessons in our own ballroom are always interesting and fun. For those just starting, our instructors teach dances from the beginning, step by step. In time, you will learn enough to help you dance at almost any venue. For those more advanced, it's a matter of adding steps and routines, and refining dances we're already familiar with. No matter what our experience, the bottom line for us all is to enjoy dancing and the camaraderie of other dancers. We don't compete, nor are we judged. We just have fun. Want to give it a try? Visit us in the Ballroom Monday evenings at 6 pm for introduction to dance, then 6:30 pm for beginners, and from 7 to 8 pm for more advanced dancers. Contacts: Puring and Gary Stifter at (951) 922-8333, or at purings@verizon.net. ~ Willis Fagan You are invited to a free sock hop in the Ballroom, March 25 at 5:30 pm. Although we will feature mostly line dancing to music used by our Tuesday and Wednesday classes, we will have a variety of other music as well. So if you are not busy, join us. Bring your own favorite beverage to go with dinner from Smitty's, and relax and enjoy the music. This is the perfect time to see the dances from both classes. My personal theory is that all music is good for the soul. Add dancing and you have exercise to keep your healthier. Country line dancing, especially, can be adapted for knee or hip issues. We call them variations and no one seems to notice. The regular country line dancing class is held Tuesday in the Ballroom. Beginning dancers meet 3 to 3:45 pm and the advanced dancers from 3:45 to 4:30 pm. I take more time to instruct in the beginner's class. The advanced class is more complicated dances with far less instruction. Please mark your calendars for the Sock Hop March 25. Hope to see you there. ~ Martha Franck Line Dancing Some of our group at the Palm Springs Pavilion Ballroom Here we are slow dancing, just swaying to beautiful music
