The perspective of the Artist of the Month Diane Gray: I've been in Rob Kelman's class for over two years now, and have only been drawing with regular graphite and ebony pencils. I decided to branch out from black and white to color. You're seeing my first attempt at color. I used watercolor pencils, which are different than regular colored pencils. As I progressed I used a wet brush to blend the colors. You can't do that with a waxed colored pencil. This framed picture is from a photo I took off of Sunset Road overlooking San Timoteo Canyon. While I was drawing, it became so satisfying to try and capture the sunlight through the pepper trees and the lovely spring greens. What a pleasure this class is to attend on Mondays mornings from 10 am to 12 noon and/or Wednesdays evenings 6 to 8 pm. Any questions, call Rob Kelman at (951) -992-9156 or just drop in. Come join us and start your own journey into the world of art with other encouraging artists and an insightful instructor. Classes are Mondays 10 am to 12 noon and/or Wednesdays 6 to 8 pm. If you have any questions call Rob Kelman (951) 992-9156 or cell (602) 571-0414. ~ Rob Kelman FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2016 35 We have implemented exciting new changes and/or additions to the "Believeā¦" Women's Bible Study. Besides welcoming several new members (which always makes us happy), several existing members have volunteered to give intercessory prayer for those who request it. There is always a need for prayer in our lives, so we have implemented a group of amazing women willing to offer prayer on behalf of another person (intercessory prayer). The women in this group are truly prayer warriors, and collectively we have witnessed His hand in answer to many prayers. We have also begun small voluntary discussion groups held each week after class for those who wish to stay and discuss the lesson topic or other questions the women may have. Three women have volunteered to be discussion leaders. We usually have approximately 10 women stay after each lesson to share ideas, answer questions, and fellowship with one another. In addition to these exciting changes, one of our members volunteered to start a Ladies Christian book club. Sixteen women have signed up so far to meet every other month at the volunteer's home to discuss a chosen Christian book. This will be a wonderful time of sharing thoughts, feelings and ideas regarding the book selection, as well as encouraging fellowship and friendship. In February we had four lessons on "A Godly Woman is Forgiving." We began by reviewing God's forgiveness of our sins and shortcomings and were reminded, humbled and gratified for His immense love for us. We discussed our forgiveness of others, if we can forgive and forget, and self-forgiveness. The discussion questions were thought- provoking and many of the women offered their wisdom, thoughts, opinions and answers. If you are interested in joining a growing group of beautiful Christian women, please come join us. This is a non-denominational study, using any Bible translation. We meet every Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 am in the first section of the Ballroom. We'll be looking for you! ~ Eileen Gilbert-Antoine "Believeā¦" Women's Bible Study Creative Drawing & Sketching Class Below: Work by the Artist of the Month Diane Gray Life Guide Bible Study LGBS completed the Bible Study Series on the Holy Spirit on Feb. 16, and we begin a new Bible Study Series on Life Circumstances and Christian Character on March 1. We meet in the Lodge Ballroom at 7 pm. We will read and discuss various scripture passages that offer clues to how God grows us in Christ through our life circumstances. This topic series will complete our umbrella theme of the three ways that God uses to help us grow into Christlikeness: spiritual disciplines, the Holy Spirit, and life circumstances. All are welcome. Please contact Doc or Letha Sellars at (951) 797- 3302 or docletha72@gmail.com with any questions or comments. ~ Doc Sellars
