| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | March 2016 | 6 The "Annual Membership Meeting" will be held next month on April 27. There are four Director positions up for re-election. By the time you read this article, you will have received a "Notice of Election" and "Call for Candidates" and a candidate's statement (resumé) attached. For anyone genuinely interested in seeking election to the Board, the candidate's statement (resumé) form needs to be completed by the deadline date on the form. This month's President's message also contains information about the upcoming election. Later this month, the "Notice of Annual Meeting," ballots, and envelopes will be mailed out. Assuming we have more than the minimum number of candidates, a "Meet the Candidates" night is tentatively scheduled for Thurs., March 24. This meeting will provide attendees a good opportunity to hear the views of the candidates which in turn, will be helpful in determining for whom you will vote. It is very important that you exercise your rights as an owner and vote! If you have any questions on the process, please stop by the Lodge. Mari Salazar, our Assistant General Manager, or I will be happy to answer your questions. I cannot stress enough how important it is to have a quorum for the meeting, so please vote! Yard Maintenance: This is the time of the year that we want to send a friendly reminder to all owners to take a look at their yards and perform any needed maintenance, such as trimming shrubs back off of the sidewalk, weed removal, dead limb/plant replacement, etc. Also, check your sprinklers for proper operation and water flow as the water district (EMWD) has raised the drought level twice this year. EMWD appreciates your help. Handicap Parking Reminders & Update: If you have a Handicap Placard, please make sure the placard is displayed in view when parking in the handicap spaces. The Hemet Volunteer Citizen's Patrol comes in regularly and WILL issue a citation if your placard is not visible. At the January Board meeting open forum, it was mentioned by several residents that because our community is 11+ years old, there is a need for adding additional handicap parking spaces. Those commenting on the subject have been notified that their concerns were forwarded to the Facilities Committee for review and discussion. Happy St. Patrick's Day to all!
