A Note From Your Activities Director By Louise Ceccarelli 7 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | March 2016 | I hope everyone who attended the Comedy Club night enjoyed themselves. I had so much fun sitting in the back and listening to all your laughter — and laughing myself. Laughter truly is the best medicine! There are several great adventures coming up in the near future. There are still tickets available for "A Taste of Elegance," our annual charity event. Music, food, wine, beer, raffle gifts, and so much more—just $20 per person, available at the front desk. As you know, there is a bus excursion headed for Santa Anita Racetrack on March 24. That bus is full. But if you are interested in day trips, please make sure you are receiving the Email Blasts. We have a trip coming up in April – headed to the Ronald Reagan Library. Look throughout the Herald for additional information and "Save the Date" spots. April 26 is our first "mini concert" (as some of you have nick- named them). This concert will be in the Ballroom. Before you start saying "oh nooooooo," consider this — it's a Cabaret-style multi- media show with songs, stories, and film clips on the big screen. "Across the Pond" features Liz Dreyfuss (a British Singer) and Jimmy Ortega, jazz guitarist. Liz will sing everything from Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Cole Porter and even Adele and Billy Joel, mixed with personal stories and humor. I think you will really enjoy this talented performer! Best of all, it's just $5 per person and it's still BRING YOUR OWN EVERYTHING — just like you do for out on the plaza. There will be no table setup — just first come, first serve seating with your own chair. Tickets go on sale Tues., March 15 at the front desk. There are some great concerts planned for on the plaza this year, so mark your calendar now for: • May 17 — "Mrs. Jones' Revenge," Classic Rock • June 21 — "Nitro Express," Country and Rock More information will be coming soon on these and more music events. The Easter Egg-stravaganza that was scheduled for Easter, March 27 has been CANCELLED due to construction on the plaza. We are sorry, but the contractor felt he could not guarantee completion, and we felt it may not be a safe location for children at this time. We will definitely look at a plan for next year. Happy spring, and see you around the Lodge! Win a FREE SUNDAY BRUNCH for 2 at the Bistro at Four Seasons (not valid on holidays or special events) Name: __________________________________________ Address: ________________________________________ Phone: __________________________________________
