There are lots of great things to look forward to in April. If you received this magazine before or on the first of April I am sure I will be seeing you tonight at 6:30 pm in the Lodge at the first PAC Variety Show for this year. Last year was jammed packed and for a good reason… the laughs were rapid fire and there was no cost to attend the show. This will be another promising show and as usual with the Performing Arts Club shows, there will be no cost to attend. April second begins our 2016 photo display trilogy in the Lodge Lobby. This spring show will be followed by two additional shows this year, showcasing the beautiful photos and terrific talent in our Camera Club. If you are already a fan of this group's art, then you'll be happy to know that the show will be in the lobby from April 2 to April 9. If this will be your first exposure, you're in for a treat! These works will have you looking at your phone camera in disappointment, but, you'll certainly be inspired to try new things, maybe you'll even want to come to the Camera Club and benefit from their expertise and enjoyment. They're always willing to share and welcome new folks coming in. Check the calendar for more info on the club times. Talking about spring, there is nothing like a good "spring cleaning" to give you a new start on the year and to make you feel like you've freshened up the place from winter's chilly gloominess. Another added value to spring cleaning in April is that you get to sort through your no-longer-treasured household items and put them aside for your very own money making endeavor; the HOA Community Garage Sale. Yes, you too can have your very own garage sale to make millions of dollars, on April 30 from 8 am to 2 pm! Come on down to the Lodge and sign up and we'll do all the advertising for you as well as pick up your City Garage Sale Permit. The whole Beaumont/ Banning community is invited to come in and take advantage of looking at your goodies for purchase and we always have a very good turn out. Some of our residents who participated last year were on fixed incomes and now, thanks to the garage sale, are independently wealthy (sort of ). It's a lot of fun for those that just want to treasure hunt too. The sign ups start on April 11 and the last day to sign up is on April 25. This allows Nelly time to create the ever-challenging garage sale maps, that we pass out at the gate with all of the participating homes on it. We'll call you the day before the sale to remind you to come to the Lodge and pick up your garage sale permit. Happy spring cleaning! If you decide to take the opportunity to do some spring cleaning, there is a good chance, you'll feel like dancing, possibly more than you ever have felt like dancing before. Well, we have just the outlet for that urge on Friday, April 29 at 5:30 pm at the Lodge. That's the night when the master of unique music genres, David Brown and his wife, host an evening of free, expressive dance. Be sure to bring clothes you can move easily in and join the "no cost" fun. You are also welcome to bring your dinners and drinks into the Ballroom too.
