Join a great group of neighbors. For more info., call Pam Kelley at (951) 769-7967. ~ Pam Kelley A recent request was made through one of our members by a gentlemen within a division of the U.S.M.C. in Camp Pendleton. The Marines hold an annual race for the Wounded Warriors each March. They have requested a total of 200 hats for next year. The hats are to be made in the Marine Corp colors with an iron on insignia. All supplies will be furnished by them, so it will not cost any money for those who participate. We will welcome any participation in this project from any of our residents who still knit or crochet. You can get further information by contacting the Knit and Crochet group on Tuesday mornings from 10 am to 11:30 am in the Craft Room. These hats/caps will be given out to each wounded warrior at the end of the race. We feel this is a worthy project and something to look forward to. You can also contact me at (951) 572-5436 and I can direct you on where to pick up the supplies. I hope a few of you will join us. ~ Dorothy Payne Knitting & Crocheting
