FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | april 2016 31 Seasoned solos Attention all singles! Come join us for fun and adventures. We attend concerts, plays, miniature golf, picnics, luncheons and much more. We meet to make plans on the first Friday of each month in the Craft Room. Meetings are at 6 pm. For information call Monica Sarafian at (951) 922-8805. ~ Toby Davis Ballroom & Social Dance Our Valentine's dinner dance was a sell-out and we had a great time. Dinner was good, music was good and dancing was good. What more can you ask? Well, maybe a little more. We awarded some very nice prizes, with the grand prize of the evening being certificates to the Candlelight Pavilion Dinner Theater, worth $132 to the lucky winner. This club is for regular folks who like to dance. Nothing fancy. No judging or competition. We just do something that's fun together. Some have never danced, so they learn from scratch. Others have some experience so they improve on their dancing skills. But everyone is welcome and everyone enjoys learning to dance. At four week intervals we start a different dance. It could be the tango, then maybe the waltz, or the country two-step, or the rumba or swing. Whatever the dance, the more we learn the easier it gets and the more fun we have. Our next event, the Summer Fun Dinner Dance, is already planned for Saturday evening, July 23. We'll have the Sklyline Xpress Band, and the entrée will be barbecued ribs and chicken. Tickets go on sale in June. You won't want to miss this one! Contacts: Puring and Gary Stifter at (951) 922-8333, or at purings@verizon.net. ~ Willis Fagan Have you thought about taking line-dancing lessons? Well, now is the time. I will have a 30 minute line dancing class for beginners only every Tuesday this month from 2:30 to 3pm in the ballroom. I will teach you the basic steps, one step at a time, and in the process you will learn at least the two most common dances played at most weddings. The classes will start promptly at 2:30 pm. Please bring water and wear shoes that will slide on a wood floor. You will probably stay for the regular beginners class that runs from 3 to 3:45 pm by the third week. This is the only time this year I will be offering this very beginners class. Each week we dance to music we have already learned and once a month I try to introduce a new dance for each class. The regular beginners class uses easier dances that teach new steps. The advanced class is from 3:45 to 4:30 pm and works on faster, harder dances until one is mastered and they move on to a new dance. The classes are filled with music, exercise and laughter. We call missteps a modification. We are there to learn, meet new people and have fun. Please join us or come watch. Maybe you will be inspired to try line-dancing. Hope to see you in class. ~ Martha Franck Line Dancing Dinner of chicken cordon bleu, pot roast, salads, vegetables and chocolate dessert was enjoyed by all Having fun at our Valentine's Dinner Dance Our lucky Grand Prize winner received two tickets for the Candlelight Pavilion Dinner Theater
