21 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | April 2016 | The Happy Campers RV Club has mapped out some more outings for 2016: • May 15-19 - trip to Chula Vista Marina RV park (south bay San Diego). Although money was due to Linda Wetter on March 5, there may still be openings. So if you are interested in going, contact Linda Wetter. • August 14-18 - trip to Golden Shore RV Resort, Long Beach. This trip is currently sold out, but contact Linda Bryan if you want to be added to a waiting list. • October 9-13 - trip to Tucalota Springs RV Park, Sage, CA. This is a very short trip to a nice park that makes you feel like you're more remote than you actually are. There are currently 15 rigs signed up, so we have met the parks minimum number to qualify as a group. However, more sites are available to us if there are more Happy Campers who wish to go along. If you are interested in this trip, contact Bob or Ann Oxley to reserve a site. Oh, and by the way, you need not be a member of the Happy Campers Club to participate in these trips. So, if you have friends with RVs, they are welcome to join us on our outings as long as there are openings. IMPORTANT NOTE: Our next club meeting will be Sat., April 2 at 10 am. But instead of meeting in the Lodge, we have been invited to meet at Bob and Marie's new house. Details and directions will be provided via email. We do not collect monetary dues, but we do accept canned or non- perishable packaged food products at each meeting which we donate to the Hemet Community Pantry. Donations are voluntary, but if you want to know more about this worthy cause, check their website at http://hemetcommunitypantry.org. Happy Campers RV Club We held our first meeting in January and had a great turn out of approximately 70 residents. In this first meeting we were able to establish meeting dates and times. We decided meetings would be the third Thursday of the month at 6 pm for 1 hour. There were many suggestions as to what the club members would like to do and see as a club. Day trips were discussed as well as various vacation ideas, along with cruise ideas. Our second meeting was also informative as we had two guest speakers. One of our speakers was from Viking River Cruises and she gave us a talk on the whole river cruising experience. Our other speaker was from a travel insurance company and provided many answers on the benefits of travel insurance. We also were able to announce two upcoming trips and had signup sheets for those that would be interested. At our March meeting, we had a guest speaker from Celebrity Cruises, a sister company to Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. At this time the Four Seasons Travel Club have on calendar the following trips: Oct. 8 2016, seven day Canada and New England on Princess Cruises, for the fall colors; April 19, 2017, seven day Rhine Getaway on Viking River Cruises with a possible land package to Paris, France. Other trips will be planned as we explore and discuss the member's suggestions. Our next meeting will be April 21 at 6 pm, in the Ballroom. Caron Clay from Princess Cruises, will be here to speak about the Canada/ New England cruise scheduled for Oct. 8, 2016, as well as an update on what Princess has to offer. The Travel Club email address is fourseasontravelclub@gmail. com. We are also in the process of putting together a facebook page where the members can share their travel experiences and club announcements can be made. For those that are in need of travel companions, the club will begin to establish those connections. Any questions can be directed to the Travel Club either by email or you can call the Co-Chairpersons: Sandy Jones, (951) 200-9913 or Rhonda Shumway, (951) 929-0033 Four seasons travel club
