19 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | April 2016 | When the sun is out and the wind is still, you know the month upon us is none other than April. Time certainly has a way of getting away from us and especially for Team Sunshine as we have busily brought to a close the month of March. Carol Fishburn presented a wonderful celebration of life for her beloved Tom on March 6. Carol and Tom have touched the lives of many. There were over 100 attendees at the celebration of life for Tom, and we all extend our deepest condolences to Carol and her family. We are certain the memory of Tom lives on, etched in the hearts of many. To all our families who have experienced loss of a loved one, Team Sunshine understands that death leaves a heartache no one can heal, yet we also know that love leaves a memory no one can steal. During this difficult time for loved ones left behind, we extend our prayers and encourage you to hold close the transcending love you shared with your loved ones; remembering that love is eternal. Our Team is here for all and any assistance, just reach out to us. We are privileged to be of service to those who need us. On March 16, Dr. John Harsany, Jr. presented to our community a program on pain management and prescription drug addiction. His presentation was not only interesting but informative. We are so grateful to offer such helpful information to our community as we keep you informed regarding important subject matter that impacts our daily lives. Thank you, Program Team, for a job well done! We are pleased to introduce our April program presenter, Brian Adkins, Special Agent, FBI. Please join us on April 20 at 3 pm in the Ballroom for this special presentation on the FBI. Team Sunshine is a collective group that has many sub-teams within its structure. All teams do an outstanding job and are crucial to the success of Team Sunshine as a whole. This month we would like to recognize and share one of our sub-teams with you. Team Decorations (Donna McLaughlin and Karen Hikel) is not only abundant in hard work but they are enormously talented. Team Decorations provides beautiful centerpieces on the tables at each of our celebrations. These added details which come from the hearts of these team members, add a special touch for the families. Team Sunshine considers itself always under construction and continually improving. We are constantly seeking new innovative ways in which we can be instrumental to our community. We strive to attain all our goals and we pride ourselves on meeting the needs for all who live in Four Seasons. So we hope you will all become active in our "pledge for kindness." KINDNESS Please be reminded of the "kindness" award that we introduced last month. Kindness is one of the most important gestures we can extend to one another. We are hoping that we will all take time to think before we act. You can pick up a "kindness" card at the front desk. If you observe someone who has put forth a special effort to be kind, helping, or caring, simply obtain a card from the front desk or LaDean Hatcher. Please include the person's name and a comment why you are recommending this individual for kindness recognition. "Sometimes people are beautiful. Not in looks. Not in what they say. Just in what they are." - Markus Zusak, I Am the Messenger. Team Sunshine SO HOW DO WE BECOME KINDER? WHAT IS IN IT FOR US?
