23 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | April 2016 | Channel your life's experiences, the things that made memories - take those memories and write about them. Let your written memoir be a legacy for your children and grandchildren so they will know how you lived your life. Have fun doing this by joining my Memoir Writing Class. While you're at it, you can also enjoy the home baked refreshments I bring to class each week. Come see for yourself how gratifying it is to recall the past days of our lives. We meet Tuesdays from 2 to 5 pm in the Art Room. For info. contact Ellie Rosenbaum at (915) 223-3375 or effieboot@aol.com. Memoir Writing Class & Desserts TGIF TGIF is going to be loads of fun this month and your TGIF committee is looking forward to meeting even more new people and enjoying the company of all the 'regulars'! For Fri., April 1 our concert night will feature the one and only Sir Elton John and his Million Dollar Piano show at the Colosseum of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. It is the culmination of his decades long partnership with Yamaha pianos. This concert film features classic Elton John tracks from across his tremendous career. This multimedia staging is extraordinary with vast screens behind the stage illustrating the songs and the piano itself acting as screen for graphics and animations. Elton John is the ultimate live showman and this is the definitive Elton John concert experience. Dance, sing and rock along to such classics as The Bitch is Back, Bennie and the Jets, Rocket Man, Levon, Tiny Dancer, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Crocodile Rock, Saturday Night's Alright, the Circle of Life and many more. Running approx. 155 minutes, the concert will start at 5:45 sharp. Our Fri., April 18 TGIF will celebrate (?) our Tax Season with the theme of "Poor Man's Supper"! Bring a dish befitting this great time of year. (We are thinking beans and weenies - hahaha) For both nights, doors will open at 5 pm. Dinner starting around 5:30ish. Bring your own utensils, refreshments and a dish to share with 8-10. Don't let the sun go down on you without first coming to your TGIF events this April. See you soon! Book Club All readers interested in great discussions, occasional guest speakers and movies, join us the third Monday of every month. Our book for April is Nightingale by Kristin Hannah.
