| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | April 2016 | 4 Spring is now upon us. We revel in the freshness that this season brings to us each year. Trees and plants are blossoming with new growth, birds are building nests, the air is clear and we appreciate our rare rain showers. Springtime is indeed a time for nature to renew our environment with promises of growth and new life. Likewise, this month presents an opportunity to engage in the governance and growth of our Four Seasons community. April 27th is when we will hold our 2016 Annual General Meeting, and along with that comes the election of Board members. This year, four seats are up for election. You should have already received your notice of this meeting and your ballot. At the passing of the deadline for submission, a total of four people had submitted candidacy papers. Listed alphabetically the candidates are: Tony Criscenti, Don Ortega, Ken Pounders and Greg Rockvam. Even though there are four vacant seats and only four candidates, our governing documents still require that we complete our election process. To satisfy quorum requirements, we must receive a minimum of 50% +1 ballot (which equates to 554 ballots). Therefore, it is imperative that you complete and submit your ballots by April 27th so that our election process can be completed and certified. Should we fail to achieve a quorum of ballots, the Annual General meeting will be adjourned and the election process will be continued until the required quorum is met. Most assuredly, Spring is a time for new growth. As we have mentioned before, our Four Seasons community is a work in progress, and few things will always remain the same. We will certainly miss Hal Townend's presence on our Board of Directors. He has contributed so much over the years, and he has earned his time to rest and enjoy retirement. Yes, change is inevitable (except perhaps from a vending machine). As such, we should embrace it, and ensure that what we seek is for the greater good and not merely change for the sake of change. Concerted effort has been put forth over the years by many good folks…your friends and neighbors. They have endeavored to make our Four Seasons community the best it can be, and a place we are proud to call our home. Let's all pull together to continue this valuable tradition. Message From the Board of Directors Sincerely, and on behalf of your Board, Hal, Tony, Greg, Ken, Jim & Gene Russ Brown, Director Russ Brown, Director
