Instructor: Sharon Nelson The cost is $3 per class attended. You can pay for and try out two classes without joining our Aerobics Club. Annual dues are $6. Please make check payable to OH Aerobics. Aerobics The title tells it all: SIT TO BE FIT is a FREE full-body exercise program carried on while seated. Open to men and women, this program permits you to do what you can and to skip any exercise too demanding. This class is especially good for those recuperating from surgery or just wanting to improve flexibility. Please bring a 1-2 lb. weight and a stretch band to follow along with our video tape presentations. These tapes were designed by retired professional fitness instructor, June Black. Join this interesting and non-demanding class on Wednesdays at 9 am in Abravanel Hall. **Please note on the 2nd Wednesday of each month the class meets in the Mens Club Room at 8:30 am. Sit to Be Fit The Senior Fitness Club meets Tuesdays at 1 pm and Thursdays at 11 am in Abravanel Hall. The annual dues are $5 and the class fee is $4 per class. The classes consist of low-impact exercise, including balancing and coordination, flexibility and range of motion, stretching and strengthening. Come on down and join us! Instructor, Carl Grubbs, is a Senior Fitness Coach who has taught Senior Fitness classes at OHCC and other locations for over 12 years. He has won numerous medals in the Senior Olympics. Senior Fitness Club On Thurs., April 7, Jack Shabel will be leading a hike to Santa Margarita. This is out near Fallbrook. We will stop at Peking Wok on the way home for lunch. Our general meeting is scheduled for Tues., April 19, from 11:30 am to 1 pm in the Mens Club Room. Guajome Park is the location of an easy hike scheduled for Fri., April 22. Mariscos Las Palmas will be our lunch stop on this day. Zion National Park is the destination for our spring trip. Natalie Sentz and Don Dudley will be leading this trip scheduled for April 30 to May 4. Save the date for our summer party which will be held on the Lanai on Tues., July 12, from 5 to 9 pm. If you decide to join us for either of the two hikes, for personal comfort and safety, don't forget to bring water, good sturdy shoes, sunscreen, and a hat on any of our hikes. For all hikes, even easy ones, these four items are highly recommended. All four items are important, but on warm sunny days, water and a hat become even more crucial. All of our hikes start at the Overflow Parking Lot where we meet at 8:30 am and carpool to the trail head. Remember to help out the driver with some gas money if you are in a carpool.
