All our students and members were invited to join us for Bobby Hideaway's corned beef, boiled potatoes, cabbage, glazed carrots, salad, assorted rolls, rainbow punch and key lime cheesecake cupcakes. We all had a great time feasting and dancing, with festive decorations including Blarney Stones and gold coins. The evening was a big success. Many thanks to Ruthie and Gene Alexander, our party planners and Co- Vice Presidents, along with their many helpers. We are looking forward to a pizza party complete with Caesar salad and drinks on April 13 at 6 pm provided for us by the Joe Fischer Memorial Party Fund. The student classes are going well on Tuesday from 3 to 5 pm, with Thursday practice from 9 to 10 am with Verl (Sheldon is taking over class while Verl is recuperating). Wednesday dances for members and their guests continue in Abravanel Hall from 6:30 to 8:30 pm with Jim Randall calling our old favorites as well as teaching us new figures like 12 person squares which really look like rectangles. The first Wednesday attire is club colors and the last Wednesday is black and white. Keep on dancing! Other upcoming events are July 27, our Red, White and Blue Dance with caller Buddy Weaver, Wed., Oct. 26 with Ken Bower calling and Dec. 7 our Holiday Party.
