FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2016 33
We meet the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Lodge
Craft Room. Our next meeting will be May 17. Visitors are always
welcome. We invite all photographers, regardless of skill level, to join
us for our regular meetings, workshops and field trips.
For the April meeting, the assignment was something old and
new. The "old and new" could be in one picture (e.g. grandparent/
grandchild) or two separate photographs. As has been the case for
one year now, pictures submitted by members of the club were shown
on a projector against a screen. We then discussed and conducted a
constructive critique of all. We learned a lot about various techniques
and equipment to enhance our work.
Our camera club participated in the Four Seasons Camera Club
Photography Exhibit displayed at the Lodge April 2 through April 9.
(See above.) It was a great success and visited by many Four Season
homeowners and guests. This was an opportunity for the members
of the camera club to show some of their work.
As previously promised, on March 23, 24, and 25, our camera
club presented a special three-day workshop featuring professional
photographer Felix Marquez who has been our guest in prior
meetings. Felix has published for National Geographic, Sports
Illustrated, the AP and other media. This workshop was an event to
remember. We gained valuable knowledge, tips, tricks and learning
tools to enhance our photography experience. Much thanks to Bill
Sanders and Irve Sturner for facilitating this workshop. ~ Lyle
