FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2016 49 Even though some of the guys really want to join our group, it's just a really fun group of billiards-playing ladies. Sorry, guys! It's interesting, because the dynamic changes when the intimidation factor is removed and the ladies are free to sharpen their skills, giggle when they want to, and have the whole room to themselves. Our next bi-monthly luncheon will be May 16, planned by Leta Ramirez as our hostess that day. Our March luncheon was such a success, the ladies are already anticipating the May event. By now you're probably wondering about the skill progress of these fun and talented ladies. Stances are set, shots are improving, and everyone seems to be comfortable with the relaxed APA rules we use. Check out the adjacent photos of our group. Photo No. 1 caught Teri Martin's concentration on her shot. Note she only had the 12 ball and 8 ball left to shoot for the win. Yeah, she is savvy to this game and is getting really good. Photo No. 2 shows the perfected stance of Leta Ramirez, as she prepares her shot. Note she's only been playing for a couple of months, already understands the game and has progressed immensely, not only with the weekly practice with the Curly Cues, but with the help and tutelage of her husband, Johnny, as well. Also a new learner of this complex game is Joyce Tatrim. Note in Photo No. 3 her level of skill and concentration after only a few months of play! Yep, we have a group of groovy gals!
