| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | May 2016 | 3 As a reader of our community news magazine, you know by now that the articles contained herein are prepared about a month before you receive it. This is a function of simply getting information to the publisher in a timely fashion prior to publication deadlines. Consequently, it does present some challenges when addressing projects and events that are underway but may be completed by the time the magazine goes to press. Accordingly, some of the information provided may be somewhat dated. The election process for members to our Board of Directors was completed at the time of our annual general meeting on April 27. This election involved the selection of four members who will serve for the 2016-2018 term. They joined the three members who are currently serving their 2015-2017 term, thus constituting the new Board of Directors. We also bid farewell to our devoted colleague, Hal Townend and thank him for his years of faithful service to our community. There are several projects underway which may be completed by the time you receive this magazine. The completely renovated canopy structure surrounding our patio barbeque and resident gathering area should be ready for use. The horseshoe game area will have been relocated and enhanced. One of the shade structures within the pool area, which had become a safety hazard, has been repaired. Additional solar-powered lighting will have been installed along Four Seasons Boulevard, World Cup and Player Avenues. The "trip hazards" along our many sidewalks will have been repaired. Landscaping enhancements have been made at the corners of Faldo and Four Seasons Boulevard and also at World Cup and Four Seasons Boulevard. Beautiful Spring flowers now adorn the "Jewel of Four Seasons," our Lodge area, and other common areas. These are just representative samples of all the many good things going on within our community. None of these would be possible without the countless hours of volunteer time contributed by the many members of our committees. They solicit ideas, consider suggestions, evaluate options and recommend actions to accomplish projects such as these and many others too numerous to mention in this message. And we would be remiss if we didn't also acknowledge the diligent work of less visible folks such as our Finance and Insurance committee volunteers. They help keep us fiscally solvent and responsible. As stated before in previous messages, the governance of our homeowners association is an opportunity to serve our community in a leadership capacity. This responsibility is not taken lightly and is assumed with appropriate dedication to rendering decisions that are in the best interests of the greatest number of our residents. Each Board member commits to this goal so that we may continue the tradition of preserving, protecting and enhancing our Four Seasons community. Message From the Board of Directors Sincerely, and on behalf of your Board, Tony, Greg, Ken, Jim & Gene Russ Brown, Director Russ Brown, Director
