12 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | May 2016 | Hello Four Seasons family. I am excited to let you know that beginning in June, I will be contributing a new column to the Herald titled, "The Creative Spotlight." We have a wonderfully talented community and I want to highlight and share our neighbors and friends who work, or have worked in various creative genres. These include, but are not limited to the areas of fine arts, crafts, music, literature, poetry, jewelry, sculpting, culinary arts, model building, architecture, photography, performing arts and more. If you would like to be featured in my column, or know of someone in our community who you think should be featured, please contact me, Lucia K. Wolfer at 2creativespotlight@gmail.com or (951) 552-5557. Stay inspired! The Creative Spotlight We are making some changes to The Hemet Herald that we hope you will enjoy. Two new art columns will be added: "Residents Gallery," where we will feature those artists showing in the cabinet and on the walls, and "The Creative Spotlight" presented by Lucia K. Wolfer. Watch for other changes as well, and let us know what you think. ~ Louise Ceccarelli Art League The Four Seasons Art League will be disbanding as a club as of June 1, 2016. Many of our club leaders, past and present, have served faithfully for many years. Discussions amongst leaders have brought up new and possibly easier ways to continue doing many of the same activities as before. Many of our artists are willing to continue to share their ideas and hold demonstrations in the future. The current standing art classes will continue as scheduled. Information on all types of classes, workshops and demonstration have always been shared with those on the email roster and in the Herald. This will continue, as it reminds us what a creative place we live in. Money left in the club funs will be used to purchase supplies for the Art and Craft Room such as dry markers and dry erasers, new calendar, and new table clothes. Any additional club funds may be used to purchase art supplies for needy children, much like last year. I would like to personally thank the heart of the Four Seasons Art League from its beginning, Barbara Kenyon. She always works hard for the club. Thank you, Mary Bowe, our bulletin board lady. Thank you to Lois Stipp, Sherry Hutson and Lucia Wolfer for their continued support. Louise Ceccarelli, for always advertising events to the community, which she will continue to do. The "Residents Art Gallery" will continue on the art wall and cabinet. I will continue as Chair of this committee. I'm glad to say we have it booked through 2016 and are now working on 2017. My thanks to our Art League board and everyone who ever participated in any event. I hope we brought art into your life.
