| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MAY 2016 | 45 Saturday Morning Golf All Sun Lakes golfers are welcome. This is a fun group of men, women, couples and singles. We play every Saturday morning on the Executive Course. Players meet at the North Clubhouse at 8:30 for a 9 am tee off. (July 1-Oct. 1, 8 am check-in 8:30 tee off.) We have tournaments for everyone, plus closest to the pin for men and women. Our tournaments are held every second Saturday with a variety of formats. Trophies at year-end to club champions with the best gross score. Quarterly dinners in the Sandwedge and our Annual meeting in November. New member forms are available in the North Pro Shop. Annual membership is $15. The emphasis of this club is golf, and having fun doing it! All residents and guests may play with the group three times without joining. Come join us. Info., Mary Backer, 845-5131. Ladies Exec. Golf Welcome to Lady Executive Golfers (LEGs)! We are a 9-hole club on the Executive Course. We play weekly on Tuesday mornings with mixed play, fun scrambles and a monthly tournament. In addition, we participate with other clubs for 18-hole tournaments and "away games" a few times during the year. During the winter (October through June) we meet at 8:30 am with a tee time of 9 am the third Tuesday of each month is our monthly meeting and lunch ($10) at the South Clubhouse. Guests are welcome! Lady Niners With our beautiful weather, Sun Lakes Lady Niners are in the midst of their Club Championship. Good luck to all the competitors. Then on May 20, Lady Niners will have an opportunity to get together socially for their wonderful spring luncheon. But, with weather like this, who wants to stay inside. They will again get together on Thurs., May 26 at the north course at 3 pm for some twilight golf followed by a get-together with food and good camaraderie. What a great month for golfing with the Lady Niners. Lady Niners play such an important roll for ladies who want to maintain a GHIN handicap but do not want to use the four hours that it takes for an 18 hole round of golf. We play our 9 holes on the championship course. Rounds of golf vary from "scrambles" to regular rounds to just "fun" rounds. We have a general meeting on the first Thursday of the month where awards for the month are presented. If you have considered playing golf on a regular basis, call Janet Catalano at 769-9409 and ask about membership to the Lady Niners. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people who enjoy the game of golf.
