The High Team Scratch Game goes to Team 16, 4 Of Us (Lillie Lawaetz, Peggy Laurel, Sandy Hepburn and George Thiel) with a 778. The High Scratch results are: Men's High Scratch Series goes to Andy Toro (731). Men's High Scratch Game goes to Michael Farra (265) Women's High Scratch Series goes to Maureen Farra with a 600. The Women's High Scratch Game is held by Earline Edwards with a 254. The High Handicap results are: Men's High Handicap series goes to Ken Smelker (811); Men's High Handicap game goes to Joe Griffin with a 301. Peggy Laurel holds women's High Handicap series with a 750. The High Team Scratch Game went to Team 1, Gimme an X (Teri & Dan Comerford, Peggy Laurel and Larry Stormes) with a 785. Mens' High Scratch Series went to "lefty" Ken Smelker with a 775. The Men's' High Scratch Game went to Andy Toro with a 288. Women's' High Scratch Series went to Sandy Elsworth with a 599. The Women's' High Scratch Game goes to Peggy Laurel with a 232. The High Handicap results: Men's High Handicap Series goes to Gaylord Spence with a 766. Sandy Hepburn holds the Men's High Handicap Game with a 305. Newcomer Ruth Ann Nemire won the Women's High Handicap Series with a 729 edging out Joan Allen's 728. The High Handicap game went to Sallie Flesher with a 280. Great job everyone! Our Sweeps held on March 29 was a huge success. Winners of the men's division are: Dan Comerford (744), Mel Green (737), Royce Newman (718), Ken Smelker (697), Scott Waddell (696), Steve Brown (692) and Lonnie Brown (685). Winners in the women's division are: Marlene Gartman (700), Peg Laurel (689), Donna Pritchard (682), Ida Nilly (676), Teri Comerford (674), Mitzi Tanaguchi (667) and Sallie Flesher (666). Our league doesn't bowl in the summer, but if you are interested in summer bowling there are leagues on Monday and Wednesday. Just contact our secretary, Teri Comerford at 760-217-9656. Our organizational meeting for next season will be Oct. 4, at the Main Clubhouse Ballroom at 9 AM. Bowling starts Tues., Oct. 18, at 9 am at Canyon Lanes. Have a great summer!! Home Again Bowling At the end of 29 weeks the race to the finish line is neck and neck. Team 11 with Nancy Turner, Beverley Barrette, Al Turner and a vacancy,is half a game ahead of Team 5, "Balls and Dolls" with Ben Snider, Teri McLean, Tony McLean and a vacancy, lost four games to surrender the lead on March 30th matches. Two more weeks to the championship will find them bowling head to head on lanes one and two. Our sweepstakes will follow the next week and our season ends with the banquet at the South Clubhouse on Saturday, April 23rd. We thank and congratulate our outstanding league officers: President, Ken Elsing, Vice President, Louise Deal, and Secretary/ Treasurer, Lil McLean. The league was trouble free and very enjoyable! We have seen some great scores during the past four weeks. A special HAPPY BIRTHDAY to BOB MCEWEN, with a 703 series with handicap. "Atta Boy Bob!" With all the drought warnings and asking us to cut back on water, Rick Waters used a months worth in one day! He rolled three 200 plus games scoring higher in each consecutive game for a tremendous 716 scratch total and 782 series with handicap! "You are the man Rick!"
