Those who attain higher levels of education are statistically less likely to have poor health habits, commit crimes, or claim welfare and unemployment benefits. Better health leads to reduced health care costs. Reduced crime leads to a reduced burden on the criminal justice system. Improved lifestyles and higher income result in a reduced demand for government-supported services and a better economy. As new businesses and industries settle in this region, Crafton Hills College becomes increasingly important as a valuable source for post-secondary educational and career training. For over four decades, Crafton has trained and educated child care providers, first responders including firefighters and paramedics, business and community leaders, and other professionals vital to our community. Crafton has partnered with our K-12 and local four year institutions to support a vibrant economy and sustainable community through education. These partnerships are key to building a stronger and more competitive workforce by providing employers with the highly skilled and well prepared employees that are ready to make immediate contributions to their field. As a practical and affordable choice for those who want to pursue career or technical training, transfer to a four-year institution, or gain the skills to achieve a better position in the workforce, Crafton is proud to be a pathway to social and economic advancement for many who would otherwise not have the opportunity to pursue a college education.
