We would like to offer Ice Cream Sundaes for $3 (vanilla or chocolate ice cream with a choice of syrup, sprinkles, whipped cream, and a cherry) (no refills). Please join us on the Veranda from 2 to 3:15 pm on Tuesdays June 14, July 19, Aug. 9, and Sept. 13. Join us for the annual 4th of July Golf Cart Parade. For residents who just want to watch, the carts will be turning right out of the Main Clubhouse this year, then right on Riviera, followed by a right back onto Country Club Dr, then into the Main Clubhouse parking lot. The opening ceremonies, award announcement and parade kickoff will all happen from inside the Main Clubhouse Parking Lot. For parade participants, application packets for the Golf Cart Parade and Classic Cars are available starting Wednesday, June 1 at the front reception desk at the Main Clubhouse. The theme for this year's celebration is "Land of the Free, Home of the Brave". We will be offering ribbons and gift certificates to the restaurant for the following six categories: 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, Most Original, Most Creative, and Spirit Award. The deadline to register your cart is Fri., July 1. Ice Cream Social Get ready for our exciting entertainment on the veranda this summer! Starting in June, the Recreation Department will provide three FREE evenings of wonderful music! We hope you join us as we dance from 6 to 9 pm on: Sat., June 18: "Showdown Band" • Sat., July 30: "One-2-Many" • Sat., Aug. 20: "Highway 91" *Please remember it is first come first served seating and no outside alcohol can be consumed on the veranda. Music under the stars In addition to Music Under the Stars, we will be enjoying evenings on the Veranda the first Wednesday of the month. The talented Renee Rojanaro will be out on the Veranda from 6 to 9 pm singing her heart out. Come out and enjoy the evening with your friends and dance the night away on Wednesday evenings, June 1, July 6 and Aug. 3 Evenings on the veranda Wed., July 27, 6pm in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom Join us at 6pm in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom as we show "Bridge of Spies" a PG-13 rated drama that is 2 hours and 22 minutes long. During the Cold War, the Soviet Union captures U.S. pilot Francis Gary Powers after shooting down his U-2 spy plane. Sentenced to 10 years in prison, Powers' only hope is New York lawyer James Donovan (Tom Hanks), recruited by a CIA operative to negotiate his release. Donovan boards a plane to Berlin, hoping to win the young man's freedom through a prisoner exchange. If all goes well, the Russians would get Rudolf Abel (Mark Rylance), the convicted spy who Donovan defended in court. Popcorn will be on sale for $1 a bag!
