This is a busy month for Sun Lakes residents, and we hope you will join us June 30. Can you believe it? It's June already and the year is half gone. It is time for summer clothes and warmer weather. The ICC is going to celebrate the islands of Polynesia at their dinner dance on the second Thursday evening in June, so don't forget your island clothes. The doors to the Ballroom open at 5:30 pm and the music for dancing and listening pleasure starts at 6 pm by the Sophisticats. Our dinner buffet starts at 6:30 pm by table call. We will enjoy some island favorites to please our palates. Hawaiian dinner rolls with butter along with a fruit salad with mandarin oranges and pineapple on a lettuce leaf will be table served. You will find Polynesian pulled pork, Teriyaki chicken, rice pilaf, broccoli, snap peas and red pepper strips. The dessert will be a delicious surprise and will be table served along with coffee and water. You will find iced tea on a sideboard in the room. You can sign up for this evening of dancing, dining, and visiting with friends at the North Clubhouse on the first Thursday afternoon at 3 pm. Cost is $22 for club members, and $25 for a non-resident guest. If you miss the sign ups on Thursday afternoon, you can still sign up by calling Carol Hurt at 769-1315 no later than Sunday and she will assign a table for you.
