22 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2016 The Landscape Committee has solidified its rules for membership. Each candidate must complete the following: 1. Attend two committee meetings within the committee year. 2. Go on three community walks. a. One walk with the O'Connell contractor. b. One walk with Brad Alms. c. One walk with of a person of choice. 3. When all of the above is completed, the interested party will be interviewed. As one of the newer members of the committee I would like to encourage interested community members to join us. Every time I walk through our community I learn new things. Did you know why the landscaping at the Summit Circle was canceled? Do you know why it is important for you to keep an eye on your watering schedule? Lastly, by being a member of our committee you can help your community stay beautiful and safe for all its members. We will welcome anyone who is interested to join us, and even if you are not interested in being a member, we would appreciate your input. I have found the members of this committee to be responsive to anyone who comes to us with a problem or suggestion. Come and join us and give yourself a chance at voicing an opinion, and making our community more beautiful then it already is. ~ Nancy Justice Landscape Committee Architectural review Committee The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) is vested with the responsibility of providing a fair and consistent review of all yard and house exterior work on the owner's property. ARC does not seek to restrict individual creativity or personal preference, but rather ensure continuity in design, which will help preserve and improve the appearance of the community. The guidelines for submission of work applications are given in the Community Guidelines, part four, Architectural Guidelines and Standards. The recently modified Architectural Guidelines are currently in review by the Rules and Regulations Committee and the Board of Directors. Applications and addendums will be reviewed under the current published Architectural Guidelines until approval of the revised guidelines. We have an opening on our committee. Anyone who is interested in joining or seeing our committee at work, please come to the next meeting. We meet on the first and third Wednesday of the month at 8:30 am in the RCN Boardroom. ~ Carl Buschmann
