FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2016 39 Bridge for Fun June is always a great month for travel and celebration. The members of the Monday and Wednesday Bridge for Fun love to celebrate their friendship and the good times they have playing bridge together. And yes we do have great parties! So, whether you are an experienced or beginning player, come and join our BFF group and see how friendly and fun an afternoon of bridge can be! MBFF and WBFF meets at 12 noon sharp in the Lodge. We encourage the discussion of your conventions with each partner and rotate partners and tables in a party bridge format. We see all the new homes and potential players moving in. You are also invited to sit and watch as we play. Wednesday info., Verina Rector (951) 769-1687 or Phil Irving (951) 922-2525. Monday info., Bill Guy (951) 845-5627. ~ Dr. Phil We are at the halfway mark of the year, we have already put on some terrific shows for you and we are not done yet. We are we going to make your year entertaining without your having to pay a single dollar for tickets to our shows! That's the way we do things in this club and we'll continue to do it this way. I would like to thank everyone at the 60s variety show who supported our group by giving to our contribution box. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Funding is needed for other performances. Please keep putting those dollar bills in. You have no idea how much they mean to us. It has been decided that our future performances, except for the radio shows, will be set up with theater seating, all chairs, lined in a half round, circling the stage. This will allow for maximum seats per show. Our community is growing and we want to give everyone an opportunity to watch and enjoy our performances. The radio shows will continue to be set up with half theater seating, half round tables. It will be theater seating in the front with scattered round tables around the back of the room for those guests wanting to eat/drink during the performance. I've been writing this article for quite some time now, but I don't know if anyone actually reads it. Why? Because I've asked umpteen times for people to volunteer their time and I haven't received more than two emails. So, I'm going to request three things: 1. We need additional people to help with putting up and taking down the stage. There is a basic crew, but people go on vacation and we need interim help when they're away. You will be fully trained. 2. I know I sound like a broken record but our sound crew still needs more help and they are ready and willing to train you. 3. If you are interested in being a part of the Performing Arts Club as either a performer, backstage crew, or in some other capacity, call me. If you want to respond to 1, 2, or 3, or if you have any other questions, please contact me at terimk@verizon.net or (951) 992- 9156. I want to hear from you, even if it's just to tell me how much you enjoyed our last performance! ~ Teri Meyers-Kelman Performing Arts Club Amphitheater Summertime in Four Seasons is just around the corner heralding the beginning of our monthly Summer Concert series. This summer of 2016 offers a variety of musical talent that will not only bring back memories of your favorite tunes, but will also have you dancing in the aisles. Concerts begins at 7 pm at the Amphitheater, located adjacent to the tennis courts. To reserve a spot, you are welcome to bring your chairs during the day, but remember to leave room for folks to sit on the concrete risers. (Note: placing a "reserved" sign will not hold your spot.) Don't forget to consider sitting on the pool deck to listen to the music. You are welcome to bring a beverage of your choice which must be in a non-glass container. Don't forget a jacket or sweater, once the sun goes down so does the temperature.
