Facilities Committee
There are two important areas of work in the Facilities
Committee agenda. One you see most often are the immediate
maintenance upgrade and construction items. These include
things like Pool equipment maintenance, Lodge roof replacement
(by the time you read this, the upgrade to our Lodge roof should
be underway), street slurry and on and on and…
The other area is that of longer range facility planning. This
is needed so that we can recommend to the Finance Committee
and the Board items which will need attention and investment
over the next few years. We need to adequately plan before
things become an emergency.
Examples of this type of effort include Capital Expense items
such as new lighting for the Bocce and Shuffleboard Courts; and
items that will need repair or replacement in the future such as
the trellises over the Pool and Sport Courts.
The list of items in this Longer Range Plan is always being
updated as we identify needs. Therefore, we always invite ideas
from homeowners as to what items we should investigate to
include on this list. Stop by and fill out a communication form
at the front desk and we will take it under consideration. Also as
a reminder, homeowners are welcome to attend any meeting of
the Facilities Committee to bring items to our attention.
We welcome Michele Sheridan and Jerry Hawkins to the
committee.
