| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | June 2016 | 3 Our Annual Board meeting was successfully held on April 27th and we welcomed Don Ortega to our Board of Directors. With his past contributions as a former chair of the Landscape Committee and all that he's done to support the Four Seasons Players, we anticipate he will be a valuable asset to our Board. Also, new officers were elected as follows: Greg Rockvam - President, Russ Brown - Vice President, Jim Hatcher - Secretary, Ken Pounders - Treasurer, with Tony Criscenti, Gene Hikel and Don Ortega serving as Directors. Although it may be a little difficult to discern with the odd weather patterns we've experienced over the past several weeks, we are into our "Summer" season. With this season comes some anticipated changes in the pattern of activity within our Four Seasons community. One place this is most noticeable is our swimming pool. Most schools are on Summer break, which allows for visits by our grandchildren. And, what better place to entertain them on a hot day than a swimming pool? However, we must recognize that this is, after all, a 55+ senior community. As much as we may love our grandkids, we must also be aware that their youth and exuberance is not always appreciated by everyone. That's why we have rules in place and time frames established for the use of our swimming pool. And, to help ensure that all users of the pool properly abide by our rules, we employ a Pool Monitor during the peak use hours. So, if you and your guests plan to refresh yourselves by using the swimming pool, please also refresh your knowledge of our pool rules and guest sign-in procedures. Speaking of the swimming pool, there has been a fairly recent change in community pool regulations. All HOAs and other locations which operate community swimming pools must now make daily checks to ensure that proper pool chemical balance and temperatures are maintained. To comply with this requirement, we have modified the schedule of our pool maintenance contract provider, and are maintaining the required log of all pertinent readings. Along with increased use of the pool, we also anticipate that the recently completed shade structure project on the plaza will enhance everyone's enjoyment of the BBQ and picnic areas. Your Board acknowledges that this project was not without criticism from some residents. However, we believe that the new structure significantly compliments our Lodge facility's "5-star" appearance and expands the useable space on the plaza. With substantially more shade available and the addition of ceiling fans, this area will be considerably more comfortable for users. On another topic, we'd like to remind our Legends residents to please respect the needs of their neighbors and comply with our rules regarding use of visitor parking areas. The operative word here is visitor. There are very limited spaces available for visitor parking within the Legends neighborhoods, and these spaces are not intended to be used by Legends residents. Also, the alleyways are designated as fire lanes, and as such, parking there is prohibited. So please, be a good neighbor, keep the visitor parking spaces open for use by visitors. If you have extenuating circumstances, our management staff will make every reasonable effort to help you find alternatives. Message From the Board of Directors Sincerely, and on behalf of your Board, Tony, Greg, Ken, Jim, Don, & Gene Russ Brown, Vice President
