| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JULY 2016 | 45 Saturday Morning Golf All Sun Lakes golfers are welcome. This is a fun group of men, women, couples and singles. We play every Saturday morning on the Executive Course. Players meet at the North Clubhouse at 8:30 for a 9 am tee off. (July 1-Oct. 1, 8 am check-in 8:30 tee off.) We have tournaments for everyone, plus closest to the pin for men and women. Our tournaments are held every second Saturday with a variety of formats. Trophies at year-end to club champions with the best gross score. Quarterly dinners in the Sandwedge and our Annual meeting in November. New member forms are available in the North Pro Shop. Annual membership is $15. The emphasis of this club is golf, and having fun doing it! All residents and guests may play with the group three times without joining. Come join us. Info., Mary Backer, 845-5131. Ladies Exec. Golf Welcome to Lady Executive Golfers (LEGs)! We are a 9-hole club on the Executive Course. We play weekly on Tuesday mornings with mixed play, fun scrambles and a monthly tournament. In addition, we participate with other clubs for 18- hole tournaments and "away games" a few times during the year. During the winter (October through June) we meet at 8:30 am with a tee time of 9 am the third Tuesday of each month is our monthly meeting and lunch ($10) at the South Clubhouse. Guests are welcome! Lady Niners With summer in full swing, we are reminded to keep ourselves protected and hydrated as we enjoy golfing. There are several enjoyable golfing events in which members should consider taking part. "Nine & Dine" is a great way to enjoy 9 holes of golf with local friends. Check with the Pro Shop for details. The Men's Club will be hosting the "Extravaganza" on July 6. If you have not yet signed up, consider doing so. Lady Niners maintain a GHIN handicap and play nine holes on the championship course. Rounds of golf vary from "scrambles" to regular rounds to just "fun" rounds. We have a general meeting on the first Thursday of the month.
